A to Z of Our Travel Life
by Evan & Isaac Strauss
Airplane: We’ve been on 15 flights so far on this trip and we have many more to go.

Backpack: We take backpacks all around the world and put our valuables and stuffed animals in them, so they’re very important to us.
Culture: During our journey, we’ve seen many cultures including Thai and German and we’ve learned a lot from them.
Dopp Kit: Our Dopp kits are the only thing keeping our toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.) from spreading all over our suitcases, so we don’t lose anything. Read more in Evan’s blog: www.strausshousetravels.com/blog/travel-items
Experience: On this trip we’ve had many experiences, including riding elephants, seeing the Eiffel Tower, and learning how to gondolier in Venice. You can read about gondoliering in Isaac’s blog: www.strausshousetravels.com/blog/boats
Family: In the last few months, family has come to visit several times and those visits have been exciting and fun.
Grateful: We’re all so grateful for this amazing experience and are truly excited to explore the world.
History: We’ve learned about history all around the globe from Australia to the Netherlands to Germany.
Incredible: This incredible trip has changed all of our lives in a way that’s truly unforgettable. We’ve learned so many new things.
Jacket: On this trip around the globe, we’ve kept jackets handy for any sudden weather changes.
Keychains: In many places including Japan and Gibraltar we’ve picked up keychains and added them to our backpacks.
Language: This journey has taken us to many places with different languages, including Thai and French, and we’ve learned many simple words.
Money: Every place we’ve visited has its own currency from the Japanese yen to the Swiss franc.
Notebooks: On this trip, we’ve used many notebooks for sketching, journaling, and our nightly learning logs.
Outlet Adapter: An outlet adapter is a block with plugs that work in almost every country. It lets us charge our devices. Read about it in Evan’s blog post: www.strausshousetravels.com/blog/travel-items
Packing: On this journey, we’ve packed and unpacked many times and we’ve created packing routines, like what to pack first.
Questions: This adventure has sparked our curiosity, and we’ve been learning more than ever.
Roam: Some days we relax, but when we’re out, we roam around new cities and discover amazing things.
Suitcase: On this trip, our suitcases have held our dopp kits, clothes, medicine, and more.
Tourism: We’ve visited a lot of touristy places and sometimes it’s sad to see how amazing places like Venice or Prague have almost been ruined by tourism.

Umbrella: Our umbrellas have been super useful especially during heavy rain, like when we visited the Vatican.
Visa: We’ve needed visas for New Zealand, Australia, Bali, and England plus one for permanent residency in Australia is still pending.
Water: We carry water bottles with us everywhere, staying hydrated while exploring new places.
X-ray: While in Copenhagen, we got X-rays done for our Australian residency application.
Yolo: YOLO (You only live once) means a lot to us. It reminds us to explore, stay curious, and live life to the fullest.
Zebra: We didn’t see any zebras. There’s just nothing that starts with Z.
